FSS Brasil delivers ANAC-qualified Level 4 E195-E2 FTD to LATAM

Vinhedo (SP), Brazil, October 26, 2026 – FSS Brasil has completed, within the program schedule, the delivery of its new E195-E2 flight training device (FTD) to the LATAM Corporate Academy. Developed in Brazil, the device was qualified by Brazil's National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) as a Level 4 FTD under RBAC 60 and has been in use since October 2026.

The project was a major technological challenge for the FSS team in Brazil, which turned demanding requirements into a complete device for training E195-E2 captains and first officers.

The FTD was built on MUSE, the FSS simulation platform created in partnership with COMPRO Computer Services, Inc. With this delivery, FSS Brasil expands its portfolio of training devices developed and supported in Brazil for operators and training centers in Brazil and abroad.

FSS Brasil presents the MUSE suite at LAAD Defence & Security

FSS Brasil – Flight Simulator System took part in another edition of LAAD Defence & Security and thanks the authorities and delegations from Brazil and abroad who visited to learn about its solutions and services.

The booth demonstrated applications of the MUSE suite (simulation engine, CGF, image generator and physics-based radar simulation) on a reconfigurable simulator, an F-16 Fighting Falcon cockpit and a tactical display of the simulated environment.

With an all-Brazilian team, FSS Brasil develops simulation solutions and exports technology and services to customers in several countries.

Brazilian Air Force contracts FSS Brasil to maintain and upgrade the F-5BR and A-29 Super Tucano simulators

FSS Brasil and the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), through the São José dos Campos Air Force Computing Center (CCA-SJ), signed the maintenance contract for the F-5BR and A-29 Super Tucano simulators, the foundation of FAB fighter pilot training.

There are 7 simulators at 6 locations: Natal (RN), Boa Vista (RR), Porto Velho (RO), Campo Grande (MS), Rio de Janeiro (RJ) and Canoas (RS).

To solve performance and availability issues caused by obsolescence of the original systems, the scope includes upgrading the simulators: the old system is replaced by the MUSE platform, with a new simulation engine, image generator, CGF and virtualized avionics with the same functions and characteristics as the originals.

Logistics support and upgrade of the F-5BR and A-29 debriefing stations

FSS Brasil and FAB, through CCA-SJ, signed the contractor logistics support (CLS) contract for the stations that support F-5BR and A-29 Super Tucano fleet missions. On them, the pilot debriefs the actual mission and compares the result with the planned mission.

There are 30 stations at 8 locations: Natal (RN), Boa Vista (RR), Porto Velho (RO), Campo Grande (MS), Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Canoas (RS), Anápolis (GO) and the Air Force Academy in Pirassununga (SP).

The scope includes upgrading the stations, with complete software replacement and an overhaul of the hardware and cartridge readers, while keeping compatibility with previous standards. All upgrade technology is developed by FSS Brasil.
